Any organisation that wishes to stay in touch with – or maybe even ahead of – the surrounding society must at least have one priority: it needs to develop itself and embrace changes.
Having arranged study tours for Danish organisations to Britain since 1947, it is our experience that inspiration and diversity are key words in this process and study tours to other countries can be an effective tool. Now we extend our activities to also include British organisations that wish to look towards Denmark for inspiration and offer to arrange study tours for groups and individuals with specific professional interests.
Denmark and the UK are similar in some areas, but quite different in others. Our aim is to explore this diversity in a positive way, to inspire and share new ideas, and exchange experiences across cultures in order to harvest the best of each other’s initiatives.
The Danish Cultural Institute (DCI) can arrange tailor-made study tours within any field of interest. However, we feel that Denmark especially has something to offer within the following areas:
A typical study tour will consist of visits to relevant Danish organisations and counterparts where local experts will share their experiences and methods. You may be taken on guided tours to "sister" organisations and meet your Danish colleagues; you may see how they work and which professional tools they employ. You may meet politicians and decision-makers to hear about their visions and find out how the same visions work from the people "on the ground". The knowledge is there to be shared and all visits will be targeted according to your specific interests and preferences.
DCI has more than 50 years of experience with organising study tours. Our head office is based in Denmark where we have a large network of contacts within many areas of society. These enable us to arrange successful and specific study tours, which are all planned individually and in close co-operation with each group or individual. In addition, we aim for the tours to create long-term contacts for the participants.
Costs will depend on group size and format of the tour. Individual offers will be given for each tour.
