Teitur first came to the attention of the world with the release of his 2003 debut album Poetry & Aeroplanes, which achieved rave reviews.

Teitur creates fabulous melodies that are quiet and soft, but at the same time the songs are wry with quirkily sharp lyrics. Since the release of his debut album, Teitur has toured non-stop.

In 2006, in-between performing at many major European festivals, Teitur started to record his second album, Stay Under The Stars, which was placed in the Top 10 charts in Denmark. As a result Stay Under The Stars went Gold in Denmark, earning Teitur Best Singer at the Danish Music Awards in March 2007.

Teitur has been performing extensively across the UK throughout May and June and will now be playing his very last UK gig at the Latitude festival in Suffolk.
